What is it with all the Home Building terms?

Can you repeat that?
When I started building homes sixteen years ago, I was amazed at all the crazy lingo. From fascias to base plates to frieze boards, it seemed the terms were endless. I think the most difficult thing about learning the building business, or any new topic for that matter, is the long list of terms and slang that go along with it. Sorry about perpetuating the problem in these posts…I’ve been doing this so long…I sometimes forget. So, in order to help you with this, we’ve included an “unofficial” Glossary at the bottom of the blog and at our main site…ArmchairBuilder.com. This glossary is basically in the language you would hear if you went up to a trade on a job site and asked…”what is a biblybopster?” The explanations are rudimentary in nature…but that’s how we like it. Our glossary is constantly expanding, so bear with us…and if you have one to add, don’t hesitate to share.
