August 16, 2021

News stories about lumber prices have everyone believing that wood is cheap today. But for anyone who’s tried to buy any lumber, the story is completely different. Sheathing for subfloors, walls and roofs have tripled in price.

In the video below, we address some of the more common questions regarding lumber pricing including: Why is retail lumber still so expensive if wholesale pricing is so low? When will retail pricing come down? Can you give me the cost difference for a few pieces of material comparing pre-pandemic prices to now? When should I start my home to take advantage of lumber price swings?
